VOM VERHALTEN ZUEINANDER
Gallery Kaufmann • Hamburg / Germany • 2025
Galerie Hyle presents ‘Vom Verhalten Zueinander’, an exhibition showcasing two compelling artistic positions that initiate a dialogue on perception, materiality, and the interplay of space and form. Artists Katherina Heil and Liv Pedersen explore how observation and inquiry reshape our understanding of the world, creating visual experiences that invite viewers to adopt new perspectives.
Katherina Heil’s large-scale drawings and installations function as models for interpreting the world, focusing on concepts of finiteness, space, and planetary systems. Her works evolve over long periods and consist of thousands of ink strokes that intertwine into intricate structures. In addition to drawing, Heil incorporates objects and sculptural elements. She extends her drawings into the physical space, where metal rods and stones emerge in spatial installations. The result is a delicate, almost scientific structure that invites the viewer to imaginatively explore the unknown terrain of her world. Heil explains: “Cosmic phenomena have always inspired myths and stories. Exploring the ‘self’ within the ‘bigger picture’ fuels creative energy and helps us understand our place in the universal context.”
