A cast of a hand holds an iron meteorite. Although shaped by vastly different histories of time and formation, the meteorite and the human body share many of the same elements.

The title imagines the impossible—the idea of a “first” meteorite, or a single point from which everything began. Rather than searching for an origin, the work reflects on continuity, transformation, and the ways in which matter moves through different states over time. What appears distant or unfamiliar is revealed to be intimately connected.
